Kelly was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She moved to Minnesota when she was young, and grew up painting and drawing, although her academic career took over for several years (she received a PhD in linguistics in 2013). Kelly never lost her passion to create. She moved with her two children to Dripping Springs in 2015. In 2016 she was one of four artists who were selected to have their artwork printed on Dripping Springs Vodka limited edition Wildlife Label. Kelly’s artwork can be seen at Drane Chiropractic office and Amy’s Ice Cream (Bee Cave, Galleria) and soon she will begin working on two large murals at Barton Creek Square Mall. Being a local artist she is committed to the Dripping Springs community and has donated paintings to such charity events as The Pound House Heritage Gala, as well as the Dripping Springs Education Foundation’s Denim and Diamonds Gala. She has also painted a mural for Dripping Springs Elementary School.
